My method is already submitted or published, can I still submit it to the workshop?
Yes you can! We really like to benchmark all methods currently available.
I like to submit my method to the workshop, but I already know in advance
that it will not be the best. Is it still wise to submit?
Yes it is! We really like to benchmark all methods currently available, even if they are not the best.
Do I have to participate in the competition during the workshop?
No, you don't. We appreciate if you join the competition during the workshop, but it is not required.
However, you can not join the competition during the workshop without submitting a paper that
describes your method and contains results on the 16 pre-workshop datasets.
Is the paper I submit comparable to a MICCAI submission?
No, it isn't. It mainly serves to explain your method and will be included in the workshop proceedings.
It will NOT be included in the MICCAI proceedings. After the workshop, the organizers will write
a peer reviewed journal paper describing all methods and results. Attendees will be co-author
of this paper and will be involved in the writing process.
Can I submit the same method to both the workshop and the main MICCAI conference?
Yes, you can.
What must be in the pdf document that is required for every submission?
Ideally the document should describe the system that has been used to generate the results in such detail that others can reimplement it. With system we mean the complete method, algorithm or procedure that was used to obtain the results. In other words, the description should be a standard scientific publication or technical report about your work.
Furthermore, the document should contain the standardized results table for the specific challenge. Each separate challenge also has some specific requirements for the paper. Please read the About section on the appropriate website.
Can you summarize all the things that I have to do if I want to participate?
